I would thoroughly recommend this product. Cables are of sturdy construction and the connection seems quite secure. Product arrived just as described. Shipped before estimated time for "standard" delivery. Performs nicely, with no discernible degradation.
The cable that I received from Bargaincell did not have this. They told me it was a listing error.
If you don't need the additional length I highly recommend this option. from RiteAV (another Amazon partner).
This occurred over a week ago and the listing on Amazon has still not been corrected.Note that I recently ordered a 6 foot shielded VGA cable RiteAV - SVGA Monitor Cable - 6 Ft. And RiteAV shipping was lightning fast.
About the product: Cable works fine, no noticable ghosting.About my experience (I am sharing this part because Bargaincell is the top listed purchase option for this item - does not enter into my rating of the product):Note that the photo shown on the Amazon website depicts a ferrite filter at one end. I contacted Bargaincell and they offered to credit me about 15% of my purchase price for the inconvenience.
This cable did have ferrite filters on both ends of the cable.
And I can only pick the closest resolution of 1360*768 instead of the TV's native resolution of 1366*768. I did solve the issue with the huge offset by actually going into the HDTV menu on the set and go into VGA settings, then click on the Autosync button in the menu and that recentered the screen perfectly. I played with the video card resolutions and I noticed it was showing up as a default VGA monitor, and not as Westinghouse HDTV, like it did on my old cables. First thing I noticed when I booted up the PC is that those clone images were all gone, I was happy at first glance, but as it booted up to the Desktop, I noticed that the screen was shifted way over to the right side, I couldn't even see the clock or half of the gadget bar in Vista. Those 2 were crappy quality and I had ghost cloning on everything, dark objects on a white background had a ghost effect repeating to their right side, it was driving me nuts. I bought this cable to replace 2 6 foot VGA cables, one VGA M-M and a VGA extension cable, so it could reach my HDTV from my PC. so I bought this cable. That meant that the EDID doesn't work on the cable.
All the stores really only had 6ft cables and it wasn't long enough for my computer. it was a great deal. I just bought an HD tv so I was looking for a vga cable. I found this one, at a cheaper price than the 6ft one at the stores.
excellent, high quality, excellent functioning cableused it to connect laptop to television with vga input
